The Best Of New York’s Men’s Fashion Week

Phillip Lim: This is a look where you have to have the swagger to pull it off.  Leather shirt and shades? Alright. Well done.

Rag & Bone: I like the idea of boots with shorts next spring.  You’ve gotta have the right pair to pull it off, and mix it with some simple basics.

Buckler: White canvas shoes, spring inspired suit and a rucksack. That’s my shit right there.

Michael Bastian: I’m usually not a big fan of the shirtless, spandex-wearing models in Bastian’s shows, but this look was crafted to perfection.

General Idea: I was into the short-sleeve, plaid shirt this summer, but I think it will go bigger and better next spring.  This is the place where it’s great to have a little more room in the pants–when you can roll them up well above the ankle.

Marc by Marc Jacobs: 60’s British Mod is always cool in my book.  The rolled up sleeves gives it a more summery look as well.

Billy Reid: Madras pants done right–with a nice slim fit.  Everything else from head-to-toe is flawless.

Simon Spurr: This is my go-to for spring ’11–White pants with white canvas shoes.  It gives off the perfect seasonal vibe about as well as black-on-black does in the winter.
